About this deal

It was indeed a slow one and if you are like me, someone with firm reading goals, you might feel impatient with the slower pace but it is well worth your time to read this book cover to cover. However even the Virtual school was harassing us about their immunization records that we provided with such little shots on it they wanted them to have them all, even though they sat behind a screen 100% of the school year. To make a long story short we got the girls two shots that had a total of 5 vaccines in them, a 2 in 1 and a 3 in 1. The authors dug through a lot of data from the Office of National Statistics, Bureau of the Census, etc.

The point of bringing this up is yet another example of how patients were injuring by following the established best medical practices of the day, not that the early measles vaccine is the same that is currently in use, nor that the same potential side-effects still apply to a vaccine which is structural and functionally different. Each of these is addressed in more detail next, but a general comment at the outset is that quite a few of these are interconnected and apply just as appropriately within the arguments that Rintoul makes, and the the broader medical and scientific establishment are also just as (if not more) guilty of the same "pseudoscientific" cognitive traps. This deeply personal and supportive series offers listeners an honest and relatable insight into how some the UK's best-known celebrities have coped with mental health difficulties, ranging from OCD to insomnia, addiction to grief, and depression to anxiety.

I am a new father and this is my third vaccine book and yes I have read one pro vaccine book just to be open minded. This book hardly needs any more 5-star reviews, so rather than reiterate what others have said positively about it, I thought I’d take the time to address a couple of the 1-star reviews which, unlike the vast majority of other negative comments, actually contained what appeared to be substantive and thoughtful responses to the point that, in reading them, I was almost dissuaded from purchasing and reading this book. Incredibly, we are now getting to the point where the public was in the 1700s; questioning and refusing the government mandated intrusion into our lives and bodies.

A resolve to be a giant among men, to conquer, plunder and seize the greatness that he thinks is his right. She instead credits better nutrition and sanitation for these advances, despite these factors having little or nothing to do with disease etiology in many cases (polio for instance became a serious crippling threat _because_ of better sanitation in the mid-20th century, which delayed onset of disease until children were older and more prone to develop paralytic polio). However, even if you don’t and you skip around, read only pertinent sections at a time or spend more time just covering graphs and data, it is all time well spent. Once again, even if this were to be a totally valid criticism, it applies just as equally to the arguments made from the other side. The fantastical idea that those in positions of power will never work with others to further their own interests, which is what a categorical dismissal of "conspiracy theories" constitutes, is a far more untenable position to maintain than even some of the kookier theories floating out there on the internet. Sifting through the book reading only the "headlines" and glancing at the graphs of epidemiological data, one could get the gist of the level of misrepresentation behind the vaccine debacle. This book slowly, thoroughly and plainly revealed the true history of disease and vaccinations (and almost entirely avoided the autism question).

I doubt that anyone has written a more thorough history of vaccination in the USA and Great Britain than the authors of this book. A really thorough look at the ineffectiveness of vaccination through history from its early beginnings sloshing around diseased animal pus to. In the Mortality section and associated table in the cited study, we learn that only a single patient under the age of 30 died during the epidemic outbreak, and that for the purposes of the study, "vaccinated" refers to "[p]atients who had got the basic diphtheria vaccination in childhood and one or more booster doses of toxoid vaccine during the last 5 years. When several members of the ring soon turn up dead, Billy abruptly pulls Kate out, blowing her cover.

It's so cliché, but still so true that health comes from giving the body what it needs in the right "Goldilocks" proportions (good clean food, water and air, exercise, sunlight, etc) and avoiding what hurts it (living in filth, being stressed to the max, poor posture, etc). I appreciated the practicality of the last chapters in which Humphries lets you know about the nutrition that has been proved to help the body heal from acute illnesses.
