However, this series is still one I would highly recommend to any fellow high fantasy lovers out there, especially to those of you who like your stories to have a good mix of character-drivenness, world-building, and politics. One of the greatest female characters of the trilogy, Patience, didn’t make an appearance (just like my patience reading this book), but rather than her, we get four completely new female characters. It is a shame because while the story is about Fitz, there are important side characters that have been built up over the previous books, and now don't get the storytelling they deserve, especially considering this is the finale. I’ve read Assassin’s Apprentice several times by now, and imagined him completely wrong every time 🙈 Still, at least his personality was consistent with what I’d imagined, and, just like always, I was cackling over all his inappropriate jokes and the way he went out of his way to embarrass Fitz 😁 In general, I just really loved seeing his bond with Fitz developed more.

Some of Hobb fans warned me that this is one of her weakest books, I sincerely hope it’s truly the weakest because I don’t think I can bare through another book like this.it started off strong but then it became too much travelling, too much introspection, too many horribly written female characters (honestly, the fact that this book is written by a woman is shocking to me), and a very lackluster ending to a three book long battle. lol* I mean yes, he’s definitely in love with Fitz but I’m pretty sure he’s no woman, or at least not all of the time. Assassin's Quest has a massive advantage in the reader already being immersed in the story thanks to the brilliant character- and world-building put in place in the first two novels, Assassin's Apprentice and Royal Assassin.

And I must admit, it was kind of satisfying to see Regal groveling to Prince Dutiful at the end 😂 And Chade’s ferret finally got its big moment! No matter how much he seems to love Fitz, as long as it would serve his purpose and his king, he would still sacrifice my boy in the blink of an eye!Too much was squeezed into that small space, which is almost ironic considering that there were long parts in the middle of the book in which nothing happened at all. In my opinion, she should have stayed in the 6 Dutchies and built a story around what Fitz is- an assassin. Like I wrote in one of my status updates, the entire book (and trilogy) is about failure after failure after failure. A Chinese translation was first published in 2004 in two parts: first part 刺客任務 上 with ISBN 9789867576057 and second part 刺客任務 下 with ISBN 9789867576064. But after reading hundreds of pages of epicness, I realized there was just way too much to talk about for me to ever be able to fit it into a stringent and coherent review.

Her short stories have been finalists for both the Hugo and the Nebula awards, as well as winning the Asimov's Readers Award. Not only fans of the fantasy genre will enjoy these books as there is such a large human element to them that they appeal to all. I love how the possibility of Nettle being the last Farseer heir brought a rift between Fitz and his friends, and how it made Fitz care about something other than his uncles for once.La voie magique (L'Assassin royal 5) the 23rd of February 2017 from Audible Studios, length 12 hours and 36 minutes, narrated by Sylvain Agaësse. Although, despite the awful romance and less of the Fool, I still liked Royal Assassin a tad more than this one.

An unabridged audio book edition by HarperCollins Publishers Limited the 30th of August 2012 with ASIN: B00943C87C, length 37 hours 39 minutes. She has spent her life mostly in the Pacific Nortwest region of the US, and currently resides in Tacoma, Washington State, with her husband Fred. Even Molly and Burrich were able to get away quite easily when, after chapters and chapters of hinting, Regal’s men finally found them. A Hungarian translation in two parts in large paperback format by Camarilla, translated by Norbert Horváth and Cseperke Papp (poems). But when Fitz is captured twice more, the excitement of the moment is quite dampened by the fact that I'm certain he will find a way out of his situation. in February 2009 with ISBN 9782290013243 with cover art by Jean-Sébastien Rossbach and once more by J'ai lu in August 2009 with ISBN 9782290318454 and cover art by Vincent Madras and new fonts/cover style. Assassin's Quest was everything that I hoped it would be, Fitz is a great character and by making him far from perfect Hobb makes him more identifiable. And it was also nice to see how much power Verity’s summoning had over Fitz, since it overpowered any feelings he had for his family.
